Piston fillers:
Piston fillers are the most commomly used type of volumetric fillers. Piston fillers measure and deliver the product by the action of single position. On the intake stroke, the piston draws product out of supply tank, through a directional valve, and into the measurng chamber which housed the piston. Then, on the following delivery strok the valve leading to container is opened temporarily in a conical shaped bin and metered and conveyed out through an opening at the bottom by an auger. The auger must be specially designed and manufactured to suit the product.The fillter manufacturer or speciallty manufacturer should be contacted to make augers. The volume of product to be delivered is directly related to number of degrees that the auger rotates. The control can be based on tie which reguires that the speed of rotation ce constan or it an be based the degrees of rotation. To CHANGE THE OLUME OF PRODUCT delivered the time that autger rotates can be increased or decreased.
